The Living Room Welcomes New Manager, Rachel

Rachel Harris: The Living Room’s New Manager

The Living Room is happy to introduce their new Manager, Rachel Harris. Rachel is originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts and moved to Colorado two years ago. She currently resides in Fort Collins but will be relocating to Denver in the next few weeks.


Rachel started her career in the restaurant industry at age 14 as a buss girl in an Italian restaurant in Massachusetts. During her first week she dumped an entire pitcher of ice on a guest’s lap. A decade later she wandered into a whiskey bar in Northern Colorado. Greatly impressed with the inventory, she started up a conversation with a man who turned out to be the owner, and the rest is history. Rachel has spent her last two years working at The Whiskey in Fort Collins where she started as a cocktail server. She then moved up to bartender and eventually was promoted to general manager, which is the position she has held for the last year.

One of Rachel’s goals is to attend medical school, so she moved to Denver to make this happen. After applying to a variety of bartending positions in the city, SoCo Nightlife District reached out in regards to the open Manager position at The Living Room. Rachel looks forward to the distinct environment and chill vibe of The Living Room. Her initial goals are to define the direction and help re-brand. She is excited to take her past experience and apply it to this new space.

Rachel enjoys snowboarding, cooking, and hanging out with her cat Jinx. Growing up she played lacrosse and was involved in a theatre company for most of her young life.

Rachel has worked in a variety of restaurants from family taverns to fine dining. She feels that the most important part of the industry is having a knowledgeable, dedicated staff, and a consistent, quality product that the staff is passionate about. Rachel is excited to work for this family business and she looks forward to pushing herself and being apart of the company’s growth.
