SoCo Holiday Parties
When Regas Christou opened The Church on New Year’s Eve, 1996 it was the first club of what would eventually become the South of Colfax Nightlife District. With the addition of more SoCo venues like Vinyl, Bar Standard, Milk and the Living Room, the number of the company’s employees also grew.
Over the last two decades, SoCo’s Friends and Family holiday parties have been a way for the staff members and their families to celebrate but everyone who’s made an impact on SoCo in some way, whether it be promoters, DJs, building tenants, vendors, suppliers, service folks, frequent customers or neighbors.
These generous parties, which often feature Mediterranean catering or prime rib and are far from typical office parties, are a chance for former employees and their families to catch up with each other while also seeing how some of the families of current long-time employees continue to grow.
While the parties don’t have themes per se, they are different feeling holiday parties from year to year, and last year’s event incorporated games, like Skee-Ball and large Pac-Man as well as a photobooth. The holiday parties are typically held on Mondays since service industry folks usually have that day off. This year’s will be held on January 8th.
